Your dreams that divide for mine,
Spread apart and leave a cavern
For my hope.
Your lips that understand
What it means to find comfort in words,
Strength in poetry.
Your voice that breaks like waves,
Tumbling to the shores of my heart,
Laden with what could be love.
I sink into it; I stumble;
I crash into you,
And I let it go.
This is what we could be,
Tossed about like leaves,
But into each other, not aside,
Natural and spiritual:
Bursting, but content.
There's a beauty in that simplicity
We seldom see.
The wind, one moment,
Your touch and lightness,
The idea of togetherness,
And the ease with which we fall.
This is what we could become,
Taken closer by the passion,
Into the heart of joy,
Into the eyes of laughter,
Into the depths of love.
