Tearing at my insides,
It climbs slowly to the top,
Begging for forgiveness all the way.
With trembling hands, it takes me
To a place I've never been,
And in passion, I neglect what I could say.
Screaming with addiction,
I give in to even pleasure.
For the strongest of us has to cease to fight.
In a captivating moment,
I let go of these dimensions,
Losing all sense of what is wrong and right.
This attention leaves me naked
With the vaguest sense of torment
But emotion wins me over in the end.
And the paleness of two bodies
Pressing tight against each other,
Starts a battle that no lover's heart could win.
Yes, it's cavalier in loving,
Throwing all your faces forward,
And a second means the changing of your heart.
For a frantic discernation
Is most difficult to make
In the throes of finding reason fall apart.
And slippring through indulgence
In the minutes that will follow,
Is like sliding through a rainstorm in the spring:
Fresh and shocking, warm and lasting;
That's what paradise is made of.
And desperation doesn't mean a thing.
